Another day, another hunt, another town. There were times when Dean honestly thought that maybe there could be more to life than just this. Yet no, there wasn't. He was a hunter. Saving people, hunting things, the family business. That was all he was good for, he knew that.
Yet he wanted more, not for himself, but for Sammy. There were times when he wished he hadn't gone to get him. When he wished he'd just left his brother alone so he could continue on with the life he'd been living. Yet he knew he would've been miserable, he remembered how long he'd waited outside his door, hours on end, wondering if he should knock, only getting the courage when the night time had come.
Anyway, he knew he shouldn't worry about that right now. Focus on the case at hand. As Dean drove his baby through the town they were going to be working at his eyes went to the younger of the two, just as they always did, just making sure the longer haired man was alright.
''You doing good Sammy?''
