ALL THE SEX FOR SAM. That guy needs to get laid more. Also, why doesn’t the show have more people flirting with him? Gorgeous, smart, considerate - who wouldn’t flirt with Sam (okay, maybe jealous Dean glowering at them doesn’t help but hey). I thought for sure the show was going to give us canon Max flirting and giving Sam his number at the end of that ep but NO.

So if everyone is on board with the idea of Witch!Sam, then I think he’s going to need a dog familiar.
If Dean and Cas get their happy ending together hunting, then Sam needs his own too. So Sam in the bunker. He’s a Men of Letters legacy and witch practitioner, finally accepting his own place in the supernatural world. And a dog familiar would just be icing on the cake (pie? dressing on the salad?), plus such a companion would fit into an occasional hunt more so than a real dog.
