You were the Sun. You were brightness.

you were sweetness and sunlight on my tongue

and honey in my throat and

twinkling, tinkling laughter of spring rain

on morning soft grass.

And I was happy to cradle you.

For the Sun to exist there needs to be

the Void. The Night.

warm and all-forgiving and all-encompasing
