ok so. there’s this yōkai called a bakeneko. There are a couple different iterations, but the one I like most is that the spirits of cats who are abused/killed by their owners come back and basically haunt animal abusers.

Bakeneko are able to take on human appearances, speak human language, curse humans, and also recruit other animals to help in their anti-abuse campaign.

despite all this, I can’t see Gundham being a cat.

So Gundham. is a Bakehamusutā.
