a priest? dom wants to laugh. oh so badly. but instead he let’s a grin tug his lips, eyes scanning him. he didn’t look like a normal bar goer, that much was obvious. the man seems nervous, on edge and he wonders if he’s aware of what’s happening here. the nature of the situation. the thought turns his grin into a smirk.
“ a priest huh? ” the beer meets his lips, gaze flickering from the man to the bar as he drinks. finishing off his drink he places it on the bar, smirk still present. it wasn’t often he talked to religious figures, but he supposed bars were the last place to be looking for those type of people.
“ maybe i need to visit church sometime. ” he jokes, the double meaning causing him to grin. now that he was out of hell, he could care less about priests, churches, ect. but the thought of fucking with a priest brings a mischievous glint to his eye. he was still a demon at heart.

“ why do you always look away when i get close? ”
he shouldn’t be bringing this up now. it was only the second time john had visited his place and of course he isn’t that comfortable yet. or maybe he’s shy. dom can’t quite tell but it’s irritating. of course dom wasn’t aware of normal personal space, feeling the need to be close to him anytime he was around. but he didn’t have many friends, that was his excuse.
a hand reaches up, gripping john’s jaw but gently. he forces the other’s chin up hoping he’d meet dom’s gaze. it was forward, sure. but he didn’t have many friends. a smirk rests on his lips, noting the way john seems to fidget at his touch. it’s cute. john’s cute. not the kinda guy he might go for normally but there’s a quality about him that dom can’t seem to pinpoint.
he wants to lean in but he hesitates, only for a moment when john’s eyes seem to go wide. personal space had flown out the window as soon as john had stepped foot through the door. suddenly his lips are on john’s, the grip on his chin loosening to place a hand softly to his cheek. class could wait.
“Merry Christmas, dear,” he speaks thoughtfully, passing off a big bag filled with warm clothing for the winter; scarves, hats, gloves, socks, long sleeved shirts, and most importantly— shoes. He’d met her walking through the cold with none of these things, so it only seemed fitting.
HIS WAS an unexpected surprise - big, too, in many senses. The dimension of the bag puzzled her, and so did its contents. She carefully pulled each item out of it, looking at them in bewilderment and curiosity. John could not know she had seen certain types of clothes in stores only. She did own hats, scarfs and the like, but they were old-fashioned, sometimes a little worn out, while these were in good conditions and clearly belonging to this time and century. She looked at them as if they came from a different planet. To show she did like the present, Chris immediately wrapped a thick red scarf around her neck and a pair of equally warm and colorful gloves. She looked down at them and chuckled to herself in reply to a joke only she could understand. As far as she could remember, she had never owned so many human clothes. She liked it.
Inwardly, she wondered if he was still thinking she was homeless or very poor. The amount of warm clothes apparently told so, but she was not sure - and asking did not seem appropriate in this moment. With her arms full of clothing, Chris looked at John and smiled. “Thank you. It’s really... a lot.” Thankfully Mother did not look into Chris’s wardrobe as much as before; it would not have been easy to explain where all those clothes came from. “I promise I’ll try to remember to wear them before leaving home again,” she added, giggling.
“Uhm... I didn’t know if you celebrated Christmas, all things considered, so... I got you food. Safe bet,” he says, handing the other a bag of mason jars, each filled with various things; mint cocoa mix, brownie mix, local honey, chocolate pancake mix, among many other things. “Wait, do you eat?”
dom blinks, brows raised as he takes the bag from the priest. glancing inside he tilts his head toward him. was this supposed to be a christmas present? he…can’t remember ever really getting one before but damn, if the priest didn’t hit the nail on the head. he grins, offering a quick nod.
“ yeah…i bake and cook all the time. i mean, i don’t need to eat but. ” he bites the inside of his cheek, holding the bag close. “ i uh, didn’t get you anything…i don’t normally celebrate christmas. ” he admits but he wants to laugh. the image of a priest being the only one to buy him a gift seems appropriate.
