It was rare for the author to enter Fibonacci Ward, but with the month’s ongoing festivities she found herself wandering through the various shops. She was never one to turn down a good deal, and wondered just what she might find if she looked hard enough. That was how she came to stand before a small stall, perusing its wares; the man behind the counter claimed to have a small variety of rare books, and she simply could not ignore such a claim.
Leaning down, she carefully searched through the books, first looking for anything she recognized-- only then could she note just how many of the books available were unique. As she did so, Eto was surprised to actually find something she had seen before. She knew what it was immediately, as she had once spent hours, days even, thumbing through its pages. The worn journal didn’t have her name on it, but it was a name that Eto knew far too well.
Journal in hand, Eto stood up in order to see what payment the stall owner would ask for; yet in doing so, she bumped the shoulder of another patron. Too focused on the journal, Eto hadn’t noticed the other woman at all.
“My apologies.” Eto paused; didn’t she meet this woman once before? “Oh... So we meet again.”
