Always intrested in his gender jorney and how his beefolk culturaly feel about it either way thats my current ask :3

lol of course. I bee-lieve I've talked to you about it before but never really publically as, in the comics, it's only really hinted at but not outright talked about.

So for a bit of context, Vakshi is one of the beefolk. Beefolk mainly work for their Hive, and they basically have fairly strict roles for 'workers' and 'drones', their general equivalent of female/male roles respectively. (It's my understanding that this isn't completely true in real honey bees, but for the sake of lore, this is how it works for beefolk in Sanctus).

Workers grow up to be a number of vital roles: caregivers, guards, collectors, cooks, and if necessary, a rare few growing up to become a Queen or Princess (essentially the Queen's adoptive daughters who act as extra eyes and hands of the Queen; their word is just as powerful if the Queen herself is not present).

Drones are essentially your artisans, your construction workers, and everything else.

Now Vakshi's story is nothing groundbreaking, at least not in his eyes. He just knew for a long time that being called she/her felt off and didn't know why. He doesn't really wish to change his body physically (outside of maybe having less fluff) or even his role in his Hive. He just feels he's not really being true to himself if he's not being called he/him.

When he finally decided to come forward about this with his squad, the group of the Bee Guard which he cares for as Captain, of course there was plenty of murmurs and confusion. Did being called he/him mean that Vakshi wanted to be referred to as a drone? Was something wrong with them? But also, did it really matter?

So while there was plenty of initial confusion, the general consensus was that his squad has been willing to refer to him with masculine pronouns moving forward. Sometimes they slip up, but Vakshi's always been patient with them, in training and in general. He knows they're all trying their best, and that's all he could ever ask of them.

Outside of Vakshi's squad is a completely other story, at least Hive-wise. In the Snap Dragon Club, people are less familiar with the strict gender roles of the Hive and have no problem calling Vakshi by his preferred pronouns. XP

Heh, loved the naming convention did you? Well, it's because I couldn't think of a last name, and the first name 'Loran' reminded me of the 'Lorem' in 'lorem ipsum'. For those who don't know, it's the start of nonsense filler Latin text used usually for filling up space when making websites.

For a while her name had no significant meaning to her character. But I think because now I've decided she's come from Rioc (where all the more modern tech humans come from), it makes a little more sense.

As a small refresher, she's basically a travel vlogger looking to make a name for herself. But that doesn't mean she can just collect a whole bunch of places and schedule some uploads.

In Sanctus, a World Wide Web doesn't quite exist. Instead, individual modern cities have LANs (Local Area Networks), basically their own mini Internet with their own servers.

So if Loran wants her videos to be on those servers? She's gotta go to those modern places with LANs. And if she needs to make updates? Again, she needs to go back to them. But it also means that each modern city she goes to won't have the same videos uploaded. She already has plenty of videos about notable places of Rioc uploaded to a number of servers, including one in Sanct Flora.

Currently her goal is to get footage of notable places in the Enchanted Forest. But how will she be able to travel safely if it's a magical labyrinth?

Has any human willingly attempted to live in the Enchanted Forest? If so, what became of them?

To the world at large, no human has ever attempted this. But that's mostly because any human who has successfully found a place to live inside the Enchanted Forest are humans who have escaped the Fae City.

Those humans in particular only end up in a few places. Either they:

- stay trapped in the Fae City,

-get lost in the forest and perish,

-make their way out of the forest (either on their own or with aid from a resident, usually the Forest Guardian), or -- very rarely--

-find one of the many anthrofolk villages that also reside within the Enchanted Forest and decide to stay there.

Birdfolk, monkeyfolk, and naga (snakefolk) are currently the only types of anthrofolk to have known settlements inside the Enchanted Forest itself.

Crystal, Dolly, and Shade enter a coffee shop. What are their orders?

Dolly would order a hot chocolate with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Shade would order a very specific blend because it reminds him of someone he cares about, much to the dismay of whoever is taking the order.

Crystal would grab a fruit smoothie or fruit juice.
