My friend told me to draw Roman (my favorite sanders side) since I needed to do a test run of my drawing tablet. Well their favorite side is Remus so I decided to use the same base and make a version of him as well!

I think some people need to remember that the sides characters aren't just "people if certain traits were dialed up to 100".

While that is good, and could allow for some personal exploration and other detached from cannon interpretations

They aren't any person's traits dialed up.

They are each Thomas's traits dialed up.

Which sounds not too different and I'm also not doing an amazing job of wording it. But I see a lot especially with Remus applying all and any symptoms that come with super specific things they represent.

People tend to see him as an overincompassing representation of the concept of intrusive thoughts. Forgetting that his role is Thomas's Dark Creativity which has been repressed to the point of taking on an intrusive role.

While yes many headcannons based on other peoples own intrusive thoughts can be an interesting way to interact with this media, we have to remember that just because you or others experience and use something in your own fanworks does NOT mean the same applies to Thomas's version of Remus.

Think back to Pre-AA Virgil, he isn't everyone's anxiety, he isn't a monster going around into everyone's head, he is just a representation of Thomas that says the bad outloud.

Everyone experiences anxiety differently, everyone experiences intrusive thoughts differently. If you are applying a deeper personality to Virgil, why can't Remus have similar things applied.

Remus is thoughts and ideas that Thomas doesn't know how to process or accept. He is not every bad thought or idea a person could ever have in one person.

Remus is not Jeffery Dahmer, he just listens to true crime podcasts.
