is it just me or does it feel like they de-fanged Morpheus’ reaction at the Cereal Convention for the netflix one?  

his speech to Corinthian wasn’t as deflating as in the other versions, and his whole ‘you will see yourselves as I see you’ thing was weird.  they do see themselves as monsters and some as racked with guilt.  the thematic point that sandflix is more explicit about is that what they aren’t confronting is their own main character syndrome.  that’s what he fixes their gaze on in the others, “you will see how little that matters” etc.  like, this just sounds like their own beliefs confirmed :S
