Ed succeeded in befriending Sandra's little brother before Gryffin had to go to work.

I'm pretty sure Dakota wouldn't actually know she's pregnant straight away, so they're probably not talking about babies now.

Dot: I'd say you're still not getting any action from your wife... my poor boy...

Have you spotted your step-mum there, Jason?

Woohoo!

Dot: I should probably be getting home...

Jason: Do you have to?

Dot: Yeah - I've got work in the morning and I should get at least some sleep...

Jason: Alright... let's at least share a cab back to Widespot, though.

Yeah, this is definitely getting back to his dad.

Who is Jason to say no? (He had wants for Dot in his panel, anyway).

Jason: I'm glad you called. I've been thinking about you a lot.

Jason: Wanna go to the motel?

Beech, Day 86, Part 8

Jason: How was work?

Dakota: It was fine. Busy, but I guess that's better than being stuck at work on a quiet day thinking about all the other things I could do with my time.

Jason: Are you hungry? There's cake, and hamburgers, and brownies. Shall I fix you something?

Dakota: A burger sounds good. You're being extra-attentive today. What's up?

Jason: Can't I pay attention to my wife without something being up? I wish we weren't so busy and could spend more time together. Maybe we could go out later?

Dakota: Maybe. I'm pretty tired, though. But I'm not working tomorrow...

The first day of summer is the perfect day for this party.

Wait, Luis, who invited you!?

Mahjong is popular, as always.

Gryff's new job is going well.

Virginia is aging gracefully.

The party was a great success, despite Luis crashing (I assume because he came to kick the trashcan or steal the paper). I'm not sure what to make of a seven-year-old doing bubbles, though...

And then it's time for Virginia's birthday! She threw her own party, working her way down the list in friendship order, and then I teleported a bunch more people in. I tried not to have too many people, so no spouses or children, but even so, the game crashed mid-video. The screenshots from the cutseen are therefore a compliation of both videos.

Beech, Day 86, Part 6

Summer seems to have made Gavin and Virginia interested in fishing all of a sudden. Virginia managed to get her Bronze Fishing Badge on the way to the pond before she'd even got her fishing rod out!

My sims are always talking about tennis!

Gryff: Watch and learn boy, watch and learn.

Jose: I'll bet you haven't played much more pool than I have!

Gavi wants a skill point, so why not a body point?

Gryffin's off for his first ever day of work!

That could've gone better...

Meanwhile, back at home, Dakota and Sandra had work, but everyone else has the weekend off. Gryff went out to the Youth Centre in Riverford, and then off for his first day of work, whilst Virginia and Gavin fished and the pets continued to debate the pecking order.

This was all autonomous. I decided I wasn't going to force Jason into having an affair, but he does seem quite keen.

Jason: How have I lived in Widespot for six years and never knew this place existed?

Dot: I guess you haven't been getting out much.

Jason: I'm glad you called me last night.

Dot: I'm glad you called me this morning.

It wouldn't be right to come to the Makeout Spot and not makeout, now, would it?

Autonomous, again.

Jason: Can I call you sometime?

Dot: Sure. Now my son's in college, you could come to my place. I've got a hot tub...

So they took a walk down to the Makeout Spot for a bit of privacy.

Ernie thinks Dot's hot. Then he realises she's on a date with his cousin's husband.

Jason: So, um... you know I'm married, right?

Dot: I do. I also know that that's your issue. However you square that with your conscience is up to you - if you're here with me then that's all I'm focussed on right now.

Jason: Here's a toast to... doing what we want!

Dot: I'll drink to that.

Luis: Dot!

Dot: Hold that thought...

Luis: So this is why you said you weren't free when I called you earlier!

Dot: Yeah. Because I'm busy, therefore I'm not free to see you. I've had this conversation with you too many times, Luis. Back off. I'll call you later and we can have this conversation all over again to get it into your thick little skull.

Luis: I don't like to share you-

Dot: I know. But it's either that or I won't see you at all, so you better make your choice. Right now I'm busy, so go away, please.

Dot: Sorry about that. Luis can be a little possessive.

Jason: Yeah, I know him. His ex-wife's good friends with my mother-in-law... this is going to be weird, isn't it?

Dot: If you start talking about your in-laws then yeah, probably.

Dot: Why don't we go somewhere more private?

Jason: ...

The perils of small town means they were seen by quite a lot of people. Including Dakota's cousin, Ernie, and Luis. Luis is definitely one of Dot's favourite dates, but that doesn't mean she's not getting fed up of his jealousy.
