Biography
Sandra was born as Hestia, the Greek goddess of the hearth, home and chastity. She is the daughter of Rhea and Cronus and was the eldest of the children. She and all of her siblings were swallowed by Cronus at their birth until Zeus was saved by tricking Cronus into swallowing a rock. He killed their father and all of the siblings came back up and were alive.
Out of all of her siblings, Hestia traveled to Earth to walk amongst the humans the least of them. She never had any children, either by another God or even by a human. For years she’s been living up on Mount Olympus and while the Greeks still worshiped her, she was known as the purest of them all.
When the murder of Eos happened, Hestia was shocked. Why would someone kill someone as sweet and lovely as Eos? Hestia had been friends with Eos for centuries and while she hadn’t approved of the relationship with Anubis, she never disapproved of it since it made Eos so happy. She was sure it was someone on the Egyptian side since she couldn’t believe that one of her own would do that. Coming down to Earth, Hestia took on the name Sandra Sinclair and became a nurse. It was easy for her to take on a mortal job at a hospital. She also exclusively treats those of their ranks who are injured, including both the Gods and the humans that are loyal to them.
Connections
Asher Sinclair: He once tried to marry her a long time ago. She denied him and wanted to remain a virginal goddess to the humans. For a long time Poseidon continued to court her and pursue her. Every time he denied her. He respected her enough to accept her decision. Unaddressed feelings remained between them through the centuries and Sandra respects him more than other men.
Carmen Adams: She is Sandra’s complete opposite, both in terms of personality and in terms of their titles as goddesses. The two do not get along at all. Sandra does not approve of Aphrodite’s marriage to Hephaestus nor how she treats her husband. The two have clashed in the past and still do not get along at all.
Ivy Brooksfield: Sandra met her hundreds of centuries ago by mistake. It had been one of the few times she had come down to Earth and had sensed the other woman was a God as well. They started to speak and developed a mutual respect for the other. They maintained contact through the centuries, but not constantly. When Eos was murdered, she knew that Ivy was upset too. As Anubis’ daughter, she had grown to like Eos because she made her father happy. Ivy is one of the few Egyptians that Sandra trusts.
