Singer, actress, author, and keynote speaker, Sandra Joseph was the star of the Conference’s closing program. Sandra holds the distinction of being the longest-running leading lady in Broadway’s longest-running show. For ten years and more than 1,300 performances, Sandra starred in The Phantom of the Opera as Christine Daaé.
Sandra sang a few numbers and spoke with the group about her experiences as a performer and her love and respect for the teachers she had growing up, who help her achieve her dream of being on Broadway. Along with The New York Times bestselling author Caroline Myss, Joseph is the co-author/creator of the audio teaching program Your Creative Soul: Expressing Your Authentic Voice. She has been seen on The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, Today, The Early Show, Dateline, The View, Law and Order, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, One Life to Live, and As the World Turns.
Joseph has performed in theatres throughout the United States and Europe, and currently—to her great delight—her mission to empower other people’s voices is bringing her to an entirely new set of stages. Joseph has been a keynote speaker at eBay; workshop facilitator at Omega Institute, and inspirational singer at Sounds True’s Wake Up Festival. Joseph is married to her co-star from The Phantom of the Opera, actor Ron Bohmer. They share a home in a quiet neighborhood just outside of New York City with their adopted chow mix, Murphy.
