Inosuke's gift for Sanemi fit in the palm of his hand. It was a rather sharp and rough stone, its grey surface ornated with natural white streaks, as if a different mineral had filled the cracks on its surface.
"It looks like it has scars. Just like you." Inosuke pointed out. "And if you don't wanna keep it, you can just chuck it at someone who pisses you off. I bet you could smash someone's skull with it!"
Inosuke will be his best behavior for the day, as another gift to his precious mentor... and to avoid being on the receiving end of that stone.
If anyone came around and asked him what was a gift from Inosuke was like? He'd have no fucking idea. The idea of an acorn was not far from his mind, only for him to chuck that thing far away. So when he's given a rock, he looks so fucking done with the little moron. And he was ready to chuck it at Inosuke's skull with full speed and all his strength.
Until he hears the reasoning for the gift.
Which completely caught him off guard... He picked this rock up because it looked like him... Surprise fills him as he feels a softness fill his harsh heart.
"Tch. Just because you got me this, doesn't mean you get to skip out on training." His words seem harsh, may seem like he didn't appreciate the gift. But instead of chucking it away, throwing it at his skull, or anything. He places the rock in his pocket, to put in his bedroom. And if Inosuke sneaks into Sanemi's room one day, he would spot the rock on his dresser.
