Four years ago, on this day, I took my boy to check out the San Gabriel Mission for his native American report on the Gabrielino/Tongva tribe-the first people to live on the land/area where we live. As I finished praying to the Virgin of Guadalupe and sat down to meditate on my life, I opened a book to look at today's service. Inside was this prayer. Obviously most would see it as a chain prayer, but today I could not dismiss it as such. It was too close to my prayers and gratitude from minutes ago. So, here it is.
