He’s extremely good at masking in regular settings and can come off as funny and even a bit charming, though during work he’ll be completely devoid of emotion.
He does not seem to enjoy killing, in fact he seems to enjoy nothing. It isn’t until he meets the lieutenant Mi-gyeong’s adopted daughter does he display any form of emotion. They end up having a secret relationship for quite some time. He becomes extremely possessive of her and keeps what he does secret from her. She’s one of the few people in his life to genuinely love him, albeit naively. Once their relationship is found out she’s forced away from him which makes his possessive and obsessive tendencies worse. She learns what he is and becomes terrified of him.

To silence it they have her sent away to Japan in secret to finish school. He returns to work determined to find her someday convinced that she’s still in love with him.
