EVENT STARTER   —    open starter. (  jane  )

— The party was beautiful, opulent even, the anonymous benefactor had outdone himself with grandeur. Not that she had expected any less. With vampires from across the globe entering the city daily it was important the coven Volturi presented a strong, sure image. Even if they were only strictly party goers tonight. 

   Jane stood in the castle courtyard hands on her hips, bedecked in the purest rose red, a large sparkling ruby resting against her throat on golden chain. A tad extravagant, but she adored it, and perhaps wanted to look nice for the recipient of her own personal invitation. It was to be a unique night for sure. “I’ll give it a few hours before someone winds up dead” she observed, eyes still wandering the crowd.

a night out at a ball was something yasmine was looking forward too. with getting to get dressed up, she was looking forward to it. the one thing she wasn't liking though was having to wear a mask. she didn't like wearing them.  but it was only for a night, she could deal with it.   after all, she was coming to relax. and have a good time. not fret over stuff as small as that. a glass of wine in her hand, yasmine stood there and looked around.  it made her realize how not so extravagant parties were back in the states. which was sad.  "i've been to a few parties back in the states before i moved here, and none of them were as nice as this one." she noted.

“Just looks so damn happy, doesn’t he?” she asked the person beside her without really looking at them. Calista was far too occupied staring daggers at her father to really care what she said or who heard her. How was it that he deserved to be happy, while she had spent centuries abandoned and alone? How dared he grin like that after all he had done.. or rather not done. Leaving your kid like they meant nothing to you. Never once looking them up. Not doing anything really to stay in their life. And perhaps it was a tad unfair of her, to be seething like this without really hearing him out, allowing him to tell her his side of the story.. but at the moment she was to enraged to listen to reason. “If I wanted to create a little chaos, would you be a dear and help me out? Hmm?”

Playing the trumpet had always been a passion of Thierry’s, and playing in clubs gave him a way to bide his time while he waited for everything to fall into place. Soon enough the only place he would play in would be his own bar, when and if he wanted to play. After his set was finished, he smiled to the crowd and peeled out for the evening, looking for something more warm blooded to drink. He stuffed his hands in the pockets of his jacket, making his way down the alley when he heard something, and without looking back he said “Sorry love, no encore tonight.”

being in dresses, and at balls like this wasn't daniella's style. but after being convinced by her brother to go, there she was. if she had it her way, she would have been at home, or at her shop working on one of the few vintage cars she was working on. but a night out like this? just wasn't her cup of tea. she wouldn't complain though. that was the last thing she would do. " next time there's something like this, i'm not even going to wear a dress. " though she did look good. the dress she had picked out was gorgeous. and it fit her perfectly. even if she didn't admit it out loud. "and maybe go with flats instead of heels. i can already tell that i'll be taking my heels off at some point during the night."

almost two weeks away and the city was already filled with people. people she didn't even recognize too. this was making her hometown seem so much smaller. and better in this exacty moment. "either i missed the memo on some event going on here or people just randomly decided to come here for vacation." she noted as she leaned back in her chair. "either way, this is making my hometown seem a lot better right now."

— He knew next to no one at this masquerade, maybe that was kind of the point but either way it made him more than a little uneasy. At least he could take comfort in the fact that he was as masked as everyone else. And the grounds were nice and open, that and no one vampire or human had bothered him much at all since coming to the city. Maybe tonight was his chance to socialize a little, get an idea of who else resided in Volterra. 

   “I’ve got no idea what I’m suppose to be doing here.” he chuckled, shrugging to the nearest party goer. The court yard was so intricately decorated even in the suit and mask he’d picked up locally he didn’t feel dressed well enough.
