Katie looked up at him softly as she heard him say that it was in her memory. “Really?” She asked. If this is your dream, then I will stay because you’re my dream. I love you Thierry an I can’ be afraid of the past. We have a second chance at our future,” She stated before she leaned up to kiss him softly.
“Of course, I couldn’t dedicate it to a better person love.” Thierry offered with a smile as he looked down at his witch. His smile softened a bit, leaning down to kiss her. “We have a second chance, we shouldn’t waste it.”
“i’m not one for company right now.” he muttered as he flipped through various pages of grimoires, trying to find a spell that could save his magic– a futile attempt. sighing, he closed it, his eyes darting to the person approaching him. “what may i help you with?”
“ believe me, i wasn’t looking for company either.” thierry replied with an eye roll, noting the spell book in the mans hand. “i was looking to acquire some supplies for my girlfriend as a gift. and given the book in your hand - ” he started, glancing at the book before looking at the man himself. “ i thought you might know where i could find them.”
He peered into his glass for a moment or two before finally thrusting it outward, right beneath someone’s nose while his wrinkled in uncertainty and disdain. “Does this seem fresh to you?” Kol was talking about blood of course, poured into a fancy gilt goblet for him some time ago. He couldn’t quite pinpoint exactly when that might have been.
“It’s gone sour... not that it’s ever good once it hits the air.” Thierry muttered as he moved away from the offense odor, looking to see who had so rudely shoved it there in the first place. “You’d think you’d know it after a thousand years..”

Katie smiled softly as she saw Thierry. She walked closer, feeling him take her hand and place a kiss on the knuckles. “It’s beautiful. It’s perfect for you,” She said as she looked away. “how much longer do you have till it opens,” she asked curiously. “Thierry,” Katie said as she moved closer to him, taking his hand in hers and playing with his daylight ring. “I know I asked you to leave but… I can’t let you do that… It’s too selfish of me,”
“I am really proud of it actually... It started as a way to remember you honestly.” Thierry admitted as he looked down at his girlfriend. The entire point of the bar had been a distraction initially, and the further he got into planning it the more he thought of them, of the evenings they’d spent together, and wanting to emulate that feeling, as well as giving vampires a social scene to feed with discretion. He was pulled back from his thoughts as Katie played with his daylight ring, and he put all his attention on her. “Don’t worry about it gorgeous.” he offered with a smile. “What I want most is for you to be happy. And if you can’t be happy here, we’ll go. It’s just a bar, and it’s nothing compared to you.”
Have you ever taken blood from Katie?
“... No.”

Katie had finally worked up the courage to leave Theirry’s apartment and venture out. She had been nervous about the witches and other monsters that lurked about the city. But she knew that she couldn’t be afraid anymore. Katie had figured out Thierry’s routine pretty quickly anf she found the place he was going to everyday. It was a little club hidden in the city and she could see why he came here often. She let herself in, looking for the man she loved. She found an old piano and smiled to herself, sensing him nearby. “So this is where you go to,”
After months of work, Theirry’s club was nearly ready to open. Paperwork and legal red tape had kept them closed, but it wouldn’t be long now. He was looking over some of this paperwork when he heard the voice of the woman he loved, and he set the paper work down, peaking out of his office with a small smile when he spotted her. “I was planning to introduce you to this place properly when it was completely finished..” he admitted as he approached his witch. “But, now that you’re here...” he added as he reached down to grab her hand, pulling it up to place a kiss on her knuckles. “What do you think?”

“I looked for you on the other side before the ancestors could get to me…” She admitted, shaking the memory from her mind. She grasped his shirt as he kissed her softly, finally feeling herself relax. “me neither… I can’t think about living without you,” She said. “how long has it been since I died?
“I’m sorry Katie..” Thierry replied, a frown forming on his lips. He too had looked for her, up until the other side collapsed and he’d begrudgingly found peace with her. “Well you won’t have to.” he promised, offering her a small smile. “A long time love...twenty years.”

Katie tried to wipe her tears away as she felt Thierry holding her close. “I tried finding you but I couldn’t. I didn’t know where you were. How long have you been back?” She asked curiously. “can you just… Kiss me… I’ve missed you being near me,”
“About a year.” Thierry confessed, his words soft and pained. How long had she looked for him? How long had he not been there for her? With her next proposition, he felt a bit of relief as he pressed a gentle kiss against her lips, drawing her closer again. “I’ll never leave you again, and that’s a promise Katie.”

“Way to shut up,” Vicki sniped, scoffing as she squeezed her eyes shut a little tighter and buried her fingers even deeper into her hair. “And what the hell is a bayou?” she demanded distractedly, “It sounds even sleazier than whatever’s going on in that scum factory.” Vicki didn’t gesture at all towards the dive bar she’d stopped in front of whilst trying to gather her bearings, but there was no way this guy could misinterpret what she was talking about unless he was even dumber than he seemed.
“Never said I was going to love.” Thierry pointed out, though he did make a conscious effort to lower his voice to not make his words even more painful. “Low lying land with water.... it’s quiet though.” he offered, rolling her eyes as she gave her commentary. “And far less sleazy than that bar.”

With narrowed eyes, Nadia almost winced at his comment. He knew her too well, even if she wished he did not. She expected nothing less than for him to make an appearance, however, she had only assumed he would be dead by now. “I don’t follow, I am the lead.” She rolled her eyes, sighing deeply. “Didn’t expect you to still be alive, Thier.”
After all these years, Thierry was more than a little surprised to see the Petrova in the city limits. “So the tables have turned.” he mused, nodding as he remembered the last time they’d spoke. “I wasn’t.” he admitted with a shrug before adding “But now I am, no thanks to Elijah Mikaelson. I’m surprised to see you in New Orleans.”
“I’m sorry, I heard nothing you said. I was a little– preoccupied.” The brunette spoke bluntly, turning away from her drink to fixate her gaze upon the person. She simply shrugged, a way of saying ‘sorry’ before turning her attention back to her notebook.
“It’s alright, listening was never one of your better skills.” Thierry offered as he watched Nadia turn her attention back to her notebook. “Still following leads?”

Katie looked at Thierry and big her lip. "I missed you,” She said with a small smile. “but you don’t know how the witches are. They will kill me,” She stated. “Do you want to leave?” She asked.
“I missed you too.” Thierry confessed, offering her a smile of his own. The smile faded just a bit as she continued, and he simply nodded at her statement, knowing nothing he said was going to change it. She was right, he didn’t know how the witches would react, but he knew he’d do anything to keep her safe. “I want to be with you. And if that means leaving, we’ll leave. Simple as that.”

Katie hadn’t really had a chance to think about where. She just didn’t know how to adjust. “Anywhere as long as you’re with me,"she said softly. "I tried to kill Marcel. People are gonna try to kill me now. The witches might hurt me…”
“Alright.” Thierry offered gently. As she confided her fears to him, he leaned back enough to look at her, one arm wrapped around her waist as he lifted another to touch her cheek once more. “Katie, you’re safe.” he started , wanting to reinforce that above all else. “It’s been over a decade. If Marcel held grudges against everyone who tried to kill him he wouldn’t be able to talk to the majority of New Orleans.” he added, pressing a kiss against her forehead. “But if you still want to leave, we’ll go.”
