Sangyaw Festival, one of the most anticipated fiestas in Tacloban, Leyte, is normally celebrated every June. As a tradition, the city holds pageants, food bazaars and concerts for the locals and tourists.
The word Sangyaw, means “to herald good news.” This 2015, Sangyaw is the bearer of good news - that years after the devastation of Typhoon Haiyan, Tacloban is now up and about! And what we can all learn from this, is that there is no other way in this journey but to move forward.
