As the panic of impending doom slowly dissipated in Jinzhou and every could finally take a break from the constant TD assaults, The Magistrate would still sit at her desk, writing reports.

Concern was etched on Sanhua's face as she saw the tension in her frequencies.

"You should rest, my lady." she said, looking out the window. "It's getting late."

She put a plate of Loong Buns on the table.

"You have not eaten much today either."

The pleased sigh from Jinhsi was worth every single second she spent learning how to cook, every time.

"I appreciate it, but I'll be alright, Sanhua." She was met with a sigh and an awkward reply.

"Please, my lady... Do it, for me?"

There was silence before Jinhsi let out a quiet laugh, biting into her food.

"Well... perhaps, this can wait just a moment." Sanhua sighed as Jinhsi finished her snack and followed her to her chambers.

As The Magistrate prepared for bed, Sanhua sat attentively next to her bed.

"Shouldn't you also take a rest, dear?" said Jinhsi, making Sanhua blush slightly at the petname. She reached up from the bed to caress her face gently before lifting the bedsheets.

"My lady! I couldn't possibly..."

"Shh... It's alright. No one has to know."

And so after a bit of hesitation from Sanhua they appreciated each other's warmth, forgetting their worries for a bit.
