Butterfly orchid (Platanthera bifolia) and Sanicle (Sanicula europaea)
Sanicle (from latin sanicula = little healer) is an old healing herb that has been used to treat many different ailments. It has been proven to have antiviral properties. A 1710 Swiss medicine book quotes an old saying: "Wer Gunzel unil Sanikel hat, Piet Trutz de Wundarzt mit eim Plat" i.e. "He who has self-heal and sanicle needs neither physician nor surgeon."
