Grrm read the Janos beheading chapter before ADWD was released in a convention and it was meant to be hanging when someone pointed out to him that beheading would be better and after that Grrm had Janos beheaded by Jon . There is no Jonsa to it 🤣 . Grrm changed it because someone suggested him and not because he thought he was referring to that wish of your bland fave .
My guy... they're just books. Go touch some grass. Honestly, why are you in my inbox if you're so certain of your own interpretation? It's great that you're obviously a big fan of the books, like many of us are here, but come on now. Messages like this... they're just childish and if anything, I find them bemusing, rather than whatever you intended.
But for the record, the fact remains that the call and response of Sansa wishing someone would punish/kill Janos Slynt in AGOT and then Jon enacting that wish in ADWD is there in the text regardless of method. He didn't add in Slynt's death at Jon's hand in response to feedback, that was already planned. However, that Jon does kill him via beheading only serves to strengthen the connection between Sansa's wish and Jon's fulfillment of it. It also strengthens the idea of Jon's own heroism, the way he without even realising behaves as though he were a hero from a song, which regardless of who you ship can only be a positive way to view that character, no?
You can ignore that all you want, doesn't matter to me because that's your interpretation... and you know, shockingly, literature does tend to produce different interpretations! That's the joy of it 💗
But it's interesting that you read it as having nothing to do with Sansa, because if I held the same opinion I'd have to view that as GRRM being unaware of his own text and what's previously occurred in it. I like to give him a bit more credit than that. I also think it's fair to say he's a very intentional writer, e.g. he'll write things that'll then have significance later on down the road. So, it's pretty counterintuitive to me what you're suggesting, that it means nothing, just from a narrative standpoint, excluding my thoughts on the characters. But that's just me and my read on things. At the end of the day, we'll just have to wait and see what it all means in the end!
I know it's kind of part of the whole fandom deal that people send anti messages and, I don't know, I guess it's satisfying/fun for you? But as one adult to (presumably) another... whatcha doing? 😅
