Second year running Santaclautchi. Last year I got the bad ending, where Oyajitchi kicks the christmas tree over because he loses his patience waiting for Santaclautchi to arrive. I didn't fully underestand the mechanics.
This year, I got the good ending, and Mametchi got his presents on time.
As it turns out, the distance meter, which looks like the discipline meter on classic Tamas, fills up automatically over time, and presents get delivered when it's full, and getting the right items will increase the speed at which it fills. You are more likely to get the right items by making sure you don't miss Santaclautchi's call for help and summoning super-kuchipatchi, and make sure to give Santa a letter from a child when he's sulking, because the meter won't fill while he's sulking.
The time limit for the good ending is two weeks. And I think I was literally on my last day. You can tell you're running out of time when you use the Tama TV to check on the Tamagotchi christmas tree and Mametchi is the one waiting patiently by the tree.
I think next time I might run it two weeks before christmas and try to time the ending for christmas day.
I like Santaclautchi a lot, it's very easy to run during these stressful months, so I think i'll keep running it until January. I normally also run an Angel this time of year but holiday spirits are pretty low for me lately.
