Initially, ALL of these women were turned away by CBP, here’s the UPDATE; later on all women were processed, HOWEVER, at this point they are being held, and we have no idea where. We have been unable to obtain any information about their status or location. All of these women are represented by us, Santa Fe Dreamers Project. All of these women have sponsors, and we believe that all women will be successful in their asylum-proceedings. YOU SHOULD KNOW, that ICE detention and custody is generally hostile, dangerous, and even DEADLY for transgender people and people living with HIV. Death is NOT necessary in this situation, NO ONE should have died, and too many people already have. NO ONE deserves to be forgotten in this process. So let’s put an end to the cruelty.
