Ava had only been in town for all of a day and had what she considered extremely last minute. Deciding to come into Santa Monica without letting her siblings know was a difficult decision. She wanted to keep make her own ground before attempting to get them home where they all belonged. As her eyes traveled around the building she hesitated before taking a few steps in. Letting herself take one last glimpse of herself in her phone camera before fully entering the building.

With the event coming up tomorrow we want to do a few special things for all of you. Now with that there will be pairings for this upcoming event for two special days. Carl’s Casino Night - Outfit

          Sorely reminded of her time in Las Vegas, Gemma wanted to skip the event in its entirety. Only choosing to go because of Heal the Bay offering some exclusive prices for people to bid on, Gemma chose an outfit that’d help be a talking point to promote the aquarium; a white dress that reminded her of seafoam, purse and necklace to match her own aquatic theme while keeping true to the dress code, and kept the rest of it simple.

ROCKING AROUND SANTA MONICA

Santa Monica Presents: Deck The Palms. A two week-long event, sponsored by several of Santa Monica’s local businesses. This engaging week is sure to be full of holiday cheer! 

REMINDERS:

This will not be a traditional event and is completely optional. This is merely just to let you know what is going on in Santa Monica at this time. 

This will start Tuesday, December 17th and go until Tuesday, December 31st In roleplay time, which is the same as real time. 

Even though this isn’t an official events we’re still encouraging pictures, outfits, threads and etc. You may tag it santamholiday1. Starters should have both the santamstarter and santamholiday1 tags.

This is a complete free for all— but we do encourage you to reach out to those who you don’t usually interact with.

This will not have daily postings — feel free to use any of the settings if you like. This is not time structured with midnight posts. This will be the main post. 

Any big plots should be discussed with the admins before playing them out on the dash. If you have any big plots you want to do let us know!

Considering this is a two week long festival there is not dress code. If costumes are required for something it will be notated with the activity.

Are you ready to run Rudolph? Well it’s that time again! The annual Reindeer Run will start at 8:00AM sharp. This is a 10k marathon that includes tons of Reindeer Games to keep you busy throughout the course.

Is your family driving your crazy and you need a break? Well gladly take one as bars all over Santa Monica open their doors and welcome all of the Santa’s around town. In the annual Santa Run there will be drinks half off at the bars and sleighs to help transport you from bar to bar.

What: Deck The Palms

Take a break from your tree trimmings and decorating to compete in the best decorated palm tree. The winner will get a $500 amazon gift card.

What: Lighting of the Menorah

In honor of Hanukkah there will be a lighting of the Menorah that starts on December 22rd and will last 8 days and nights till December 30th. Feel free to come down to the Pier where the Menorah will be lit and Jewish traditions will be celebrated.

What: Karamu Feast

While Kwanzaa is observed from December 26 to January 1, to celebrate on December 26th there a feast to celebrate family, community, and culture held across Pico Boulevard.

What: Mistletoe Kiss

Tradition has it that if you kiss under the mistletoe at Electric Fountain your relationship will be unbreakable. So grab the object of your affection and take them for an epic kiss.

What: Carriage Rides

Carriage rides will be offered all around Wilshire Boulevard to see the different lights across the city.

What: Ice Skating

Even though it may not be cold enough to get your chill on just yet the ice skating rink is now open for a full 24 hours. It will close early during Christmas Eve and Christmas. Normal business hours will resume back during January 1st. Take advantage of this sweet chill and get your skating on.

What: Ugly Sweater Contest

Pull out your best Ugly Christmas Sweater and wear it to Lucky’s.

Are you ready to get your jingle on? Well this concert will surly have you singing as loudly as possible and ready to carol all around town by the end!

Ring in the New Year with an epic party! Tons of locations will be opening their doors so make sure you spend the beginning of the roaring 20′s right!

Halloween was such a strange concept to her. After not celebrating it for so long Ava was still a little hesitant on it. She was confused about why anyone would celebrate such a dark holiday. Dressing up was cute and something she could support however; seeing the different displays was intense for her. Being lost in thought over the haunted house she moved to turn and almost ran into another. “My apologies.”
