Now that my bio is all finished I figured it’s time for me to join in the fun!

I’m not actually applying, but I thought I would tell you about my child still. Let me introduce you all to Alexandra Aldridge:

Alex is basically hot mess express. She comes from a super religious family would cut her off after her chose to not play by their rules. She gave up a trust fund and the luxury of the life she once knew. After she got her heartbroken she took off to Santa Monica where her cousin Breeland lived. Since landing there she bought a bar (Lucky’s) and she’s been working there ever since. She’s been in Santa Monica a little over three years now and is just living her hot mess of a life.

While her name is Alexandra you can call her Alex or Lexie. She doesn’t really mind either, but prefers Alex. 

 She’s from Savannah, GA but she’s lost her accent at this point. She will go out of her way to not use her accent. Although you might catch her slipping here and there. 

She’s a former beauty queen thanks to her mother. She didn’t win any major titles though just a couple local pageants.

More fun facts cause I’m trash: 

She was not only a cheerleader, but prom queen/homecoming queen during high school.

Joanna Gaines is basically her idol. She hopes to one day have her own interior design business.

She loves restoring old furniture and giving it new life. She can create/restore just about anything. 

She’s not here for relationships, but she’ll gladly hook up with you.

She loves country music. If you play it you’ll more than likely hear her singing or humming along to the song. 

She has a twin brother Asher. (Shoutout to my wanted connection that’s coming.) 

Last but not least, she’s a preachers daughter. Or at least was until her family disowned her.

So I’ve applied with my girl Evelyn ‘Evie’ Calloway! She’s from Brentwood, Los Angeles, and is basically my sad mess of a child who lost her sister when she was a teenager and hasn’t really coped w/ it on top of being neglected by her super rich doctor parents! She’s currently a librarian, as well as a part time nanny on the weekends because living in Los Angeles is hella expensive. (BTW she needs a roommate, so if you want that kinda connection, hmu!)

Her older sister was her best friend in the entire world, and ever since she lost her, she’s felt alone, even though she has a couple of close friends. But she basically lost her entire world and has never really been the same? So she gets a bit sad sometimes.

My girl is super bi. She figured it out sometime in high school, but with her older sister dying and her dealing with shit, she never really came out or came to terms with it until she was in college. Since then she’s become more comfortable with her sexuality and accepts it as part of who she is. 

She can be a bit of a homebody who loves reading and spending time in bed doing nothing, but she has a bit of a wild streak when she goes out-- especially if she’s had tequila. 

She has a really bad relationship with her parents. They’re surgeons based at UCLA Medical Center, and basically her whole childhood, she and her sister Cassie were raised by nannies because they always put work first. Plus, she didn’t get to say goodbye to her sister, and blames them for that, so she holds a huge grudge against them and even though she lives only a few miles away from them, she avoids them a lot of the time.

She’s kind of a huge nerd? Like get her talking about a good book or a show she’s currently watching, and she will not. stop. talking. She can be a little quiet, but once you get her going, she’s a little chatterbox.

I applied for Melissa Benoist as the fc of my character Gwen Peters. She’s a badass tattoo artist/tattoo shop owner. She’s a good person who just wants to care for her siblings. Because she had shitty parents. She’s also a photographer on the side.

She’s a very determined human. she doesn’t give up easy.

Disaster Child™ But I swear it’s not her fault. She’s a sweetheart even if she can occasionally be a little grumpy and overly sarcastic at times. Basically, Percy got a pretty shitty deck of cards in life but despite her social awkwardness and tendency to be a magnet for trouble, she’s an optimist at heart who never stops trying to live her best life.

Her mama died during childbirth and her father was never even in the picture. Various health problems as a baby led to her being stuck in foster care and group homes until she got emancipated at 16. 

Percy has what many might call “diarrhea of the mouth” syndrome, which basically means she has pretty much no filter between her thoughts and her words. It’s not that she’s actively trying to be mean or brutally honest or weird. She just has never been good at keeping her inner monologues...well inner lol. There are many times where she’ll be lost in thought, falling down a weird rabbit hole and the entire time she’s unaware that she’s been saying everything out loud. It can get quite awkward if people don’t know her well enough. 

She’s an artist and all that pain she’s bottled up over the years flows through her art, which she’s using to pursue a career as a tattoo artist. She first really began drawing when she was nine as a way to escape and she was fourteen when she fell in love with tattoos. After she was emancipated she began working as a receptionist for a tattoo parlor and the owner there took her under his wing and has taught her everything she knows. (Yes she’s covered in tats and always itching for more. She’s designed all her own tattoos, but only trusts Nic aka her boss and mentor do the honor of putting them on her).

Meet Olivia Monroe, events planner extraordinaire and product of the foster system. Brought up mainly in Santa Monica, she’s got a heart of gold but has more than few deep-rooted issues.

GIVE US THREE HEADCANONS ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER(s):

Born in Rhode Island originally, she was given up for adoption only hours after she was born and spent most of her life being passed from home to home until she finally settled with the Monroe family. She took their surname at 18 and considers them her real family. She has six siblings in total, four of them also from the foster system and a golden retriever named Rupert.

She has trust issues, not surprising for someone who was brought up being moved from pillar to post for most of her youth. While she trusts her family explicitly, she finds it hard to trust and connect with strangers and can sometimes come off as aloof even if she doesn’t mean to. However, the longer you know her, the more she’ll open up.

She doesn’t think she’s ever been in love. Sure, she’s had hook up and flings but nothing more. She’s only ever had one serious relationship and jumped ship the moment stuff got real. Commitment freaks her out, as well as discussing anything long-term. She’s been so used to living in the present that she’s never planned for the future and it shows.

As someone who is super organised, events planning is her perfect job and she does it extremely well. She set up her business at 25, Events by Olivia Monroe, and she’s never looked back. She knows how to plan events, weddings being her favourite things to do, and she’s well known in Santa Monica.

This is Richard. He’s an older brother, highly educated and trying to ‘find himself’. He dedicated his life to his family and has only recently realized how unhappy working at an office job and taking care of everyone and everything was. So now he hides his office, got rid of his suits and spends his time getting dirty with his hands.

Richard does not do nicknames. 

In his head, Richard has just switched his main job and his side hustle. The board of his company does not agree with this assessment. 

Richard used to straighten his hair religiously and scares himself in the mirror with his curls sometimes.

To make sure that this is inclusive for everyone tell me some things that you guys would like to see around Santa Monica like Libraries, Fire Stations, and etc. I’m open to anything!
