With his makeshift sword made of diamond, he’s been able to actually do some damage to help people get inside buildings or help break free people who were stuck. SURE, he’s been having to make them over and over again whenever his sword broke but as long as he was helping people it was worth it. This is no different. He remembers Sanzo from last time. They had a situation where him, Badou, and the Sanzo guy had to deal with some...danger. This was nothing compared to then, but he knows that if he doesn’t act quick and break Sanzo out, the man could freeze. He’s working quick.
“I’m almost done.” He says, letting Sanzo know that soon there’ll be a small enough hole for Sanzo to do some damage to help him get out.
