Gideon de Villiers x reader fic

He sees the gun moments before you do, but it's too late, the gun is fired, one, twice, thrice. He watches the bullets hit your abdomen, chest, shoulder.

You start falling down, but before hitting the ground, he catches you in his arms.

“H-hey” he says, on the verge of crying.

You raise your hand, putting it against his cheek, and he nuzzles into your hand. You wipe away a few stray tears that have escaped his eyes. He didn't even realize he was crying.

“Live fo..for me” you say struggling to breathe.

Wheezy coughs wrack your body as blood drips from your mouth.

“Please don't leave me, please”

He begs you, tears rolling down his cheeks.

You don't respond.

He shakes you, begging, screaming for you to answer him. For you to come back.

When you don't, he holds you close to his chest, and silently cries.

Then your chest starts moving up and down, up and down.

He lifts his head from the crook of your neck.

“Y/N?”

Your eyes flutter open slowly.

“Gideon?”

“I'm here, I'm here”

He smiles, eyes shining with the remnants of the tears.

Back at the cottage, you are lying on the couch resting per strict orders of Gideon as he rummages through the bookshelf.

“What are you looking for?”

“A book”

“Would it hurt you to be less vague?”

Gideon hums and stops, pulling an intricately detailed leather book out of the shelf.

You lift your eyebrows, but say nothing.

Gideon opens the book and begins to flip through the old, yellowing pages.

Soon he seemingly finds what he's looking for as he reads the page.

“Y/N?”

“Yes?”

“I think you're immortal”

“I'm a what now?”

“Immortal”

You get up from the couch and walk over to Gideon, peeking at the page. You read the words he read just mere minutes earlier.

“I am immortal because my parents were.. are both time travellers?”

“It seems so yes”

You stare at the page, taking it all in.

Gideon places the book down, grabbing the backpack from the armchair and taking a vial out of the side pocket.

“Is that..?”

“It's the vial that would've made Count of St. Germain immortal”

Gideon inspects the glass vial and the liquid inside it.

He opens the vial's cork and drinks the liquid.

“Gideon!” you say shocked.

“Y/N, I love you and refuse to be without you ever again”

You stare at him with wide eyes.

Gideon places his forehead against yours as he intertwines your fingers.

“I would do anything to be with you”

“I know”

You close your eyes and whisper:

“And I love you too”

I wrote this ages ago. I do ship Gideon and Gwendolyn (duh) but just wanted to try something with Gideon x reader. Because I know some of us, if not most of us, have crush on him. I mean look at him! He's a very handsome guy.
