For the Sapnap week prompt Born in Fire! I missed the c!sapnap prompt, but i thought this worked well too! The initial idea was this glowing ribs, inner fire kinda thing but i couldn't get it to look quite right! But I am sure your guys get me :P

Happy Sapnap Week 2024! Here's my fic for the DSMP/MANHUNT and DREAMTEAM/DADBOYHALO prompts! (This one.. got away from me.)

10k words, DSMP setting, Sapnap POV, Angst with a Happy ending!

the universe said I love you (because you are love)

In the heart of the server, once a great nation or a blight on the server, depending on who you asked, was L’manberg. Reduced to rubble, burned and blown to bits all the way to bedrock, the obsidian grid still hung in the sky, a bitter testament to the foolishness of man, who thought they could spit in the face of a god, of multiple gods, and believed what they had built would live to tell the tale. A desolate reminder that no one, save the gods themselves, were infallible.

Or rather, what should have been desolate.

“That’s not fair!” Sapnap shouted. “Get out of the trees!”

“Only rule we agreed on is two against one,” Dream jeered from ahigh, jumping and swinging across the canopy of trees. His movements were ever graceful, like a deer bounding across the forest floor. The very branches of the trees seemed to stretch themselves out to meet his movements halfway, so that Dream never missed a step. George and Sapnap had tried to mimic his grace plenty a time but always seemed to fail, falling from branches and knocking loose baby teeth out.
