#the archangel effect: a canon divergence DSMP au focusing on drunz's past and current relationship, the revival book and how it connects to the Egg, and how Exdee is even related to all of this mess.

#Chromium Oxide Green 459: a college AU with the DSMP characters. Punz is an art major in his final year before graduation struggling with the portfolio he's supposed to submit. Dream is the local college outcast that Punz, inexplicably, gets focused on.

#if you love something: a rivals duo DSMP au. When Techno joins the SMP, he's told that it's home to- what could be- the last unicorn. He doesn't believe anyone, of course. There's no way one would be as stupid as to show itself here, in a war torn server. Naturally the unicorn shows up to prove him wrong.

#fool's gold au; Medieval AU. Dream has newly succeeded the throne as king and is trying to navigate a court that wants him dethroned or dead. Punz is a venetian-style jester with odd talents that, having served the late king before Dream, knows a bit too much and is more than meets the eye.

Shout out to the people who ""don't contribute"" to fandoms, to the people who read fics, to the people who reblog art, to the people who leave comments and tell artists and writers how much they enjoyed something, to the friends in your DMs who listen to you ramble and feed your insane-isms, to the people who listen to your crack ideas, to your heartbreaking ideas, to your oddessy-length fics, to the ideas that aren't even in the same fandom. Your effort is "invisible" maybe but it's felt and it's appreciated and fandom would be nothing about you and don't let anyone tell you otherwise or make you feel like it's weird to "put that much effort into something that's not yours"

I think the most important people in fandoms are the Test Subjects, the friends you go to who you bounce ideas off of and (in rat rosemary's case) borderline torture by giving them plot knowledge as a test to see how your audience will react. But I also think if you're gonna be a little bitch about it and lament that it's "weird to put that much effort into something that's not yours" then you shouldn't put yourself into that position. Like Archangel Effect, in my eyes, as the writer, is just as much my baby as it is Rat and Wett's baby for being said lab tests and giving feedback to the point that I've listed them as beta readers in my PDF file when I get it officially printed and bound to put on my bookshelf and theirs.

And I also say this having been a Test Subject myself for peanut. It's an important role that fic writers need and that effort is always appreciated and needed. 🤷‍♂️

I do not agree with veganism as a moral standard. If it is your personal moral stance, that is fine. If you think humans eating meat is inherently immoral, I don’t want to deal with you, you’re hopeless. Vegan ideology behaves more like a sect of evangelical Christianity than a dietary choice.

Veganism is better for the environment, but claiming that it's a morally superior choice ignores cultural and economic factors that make people eat animal products.

It is not inherently better for the environment. That is the thing. When you begin trying to explain that local, sustainably sourced animal protein is better for the environment than imported plant proteins that are farmed 3,500 miles away using slave labor, they start tuning you out. Down is better for the environment than polyester stuffing, leather is better for the environment than pleather. We should work on making animal agricultural practices more sustainable instead of trying to shame everyone into eating plant products that are also farmed unethically and unsustainably.
