I can’t believe it’s 2024 and I’m havin to explain to baby TERFs and racists that queer men are, well, queer. I got multiple people tell me when talking about queer men, sapphic, men, etc., that our attraction to women is straight. It’s definitely possible for people to identify that way, it’s possible to use multiple labels, but that’s not how I and many others define our attraction to women. Bi, pan, omni etc are whole identities and not all of us want to categorize specific gender attractions as straight or gay. Queer men and sapphic men shouldn’t have to defend the fact that our attraction to women is queer. I am NOT cis or straight, (ignoring the fact that I sometimes use those terms to piss people off, cuz yk, Gender Fuckery), but that does not change the fact that I move through this world as a queer person and my attraction to women, regardless of my own gender identity is not straight. queer men do not suddenly become straight when we are attracted to a woman. we are still queer, our identity is still queer, attraction is still queer. I am not attracted to women in the way that white cishet men are. I am not attracted to men in the way white cishet women are. I’m queer, my attraction is innately queer.

do you know of any terms for when you are sapphic/queer for women in a strictly mlw way ?like its just... queer?? its gay?? but im completely a MAN and not a woman or woman aligned in any way.?!?!?! bcuz lesbian/sapphic being kinda wlw-adjacent makes me dysphoric but my attraction to women as a trans man is just absolutely queer . so I feel sort of lost here </3

Oh there definitely is. I highly recommend looking into genderfuckery and genderqueer related terms. I can't think of any specific terms right off the top of my head but I guarantee somebody has made some-if I come across them I'll link them back to here. But yeah trans and genderqueer manhood and lesbian, sapphic queer attraction to women having an overlap is nothing new. Guydyke, boydyke lesboy saphboy and the like are a few

I hate not being allowed in sapphic spaces because I’m a trans guy. Saw a sapphic tumblr group and the rules said no men and no “chronically online queer discourse” so obviously I’m not welcome.
