I personally don’t understand Daxton vs Benvi fighting. I’ve always understood that like yeah Ben is the clear winner in the way they’re so similar but so different at the same pushing each other (this could be worded way better but it’s midnight and my brain isn’t doing words right now).

But with that in mind I’ve enjoyed Devi’s other relationships a lot too. I guess in the first two season you could say I was a Daxton cause I was rooting for them to be together. Partly because I just really like Paxton. But like I know it’s not a relationship that’s made to last. It’s built on fantasy and I liked seeing it play out but I knew it was temporary.

Then they broke up in s3 and she got with Des and I was rooting for them cause Des was nice and she was happy. Then the end with Ben was just an inevitable and I’m rooting for them too.

That was very ramble-ly but the point is I don’t understand people getting so upset cause I loved all her pairings and don’t see the big deal

I think it comes more from a place of wanting to be right (I get that I love being right) and just genuine love for the characters and ships.

I’m a loyal member of Team Ben and have been since the beginning. However, I honestly see the appeal in all the ships, especially after this season.

I think where most of the “fighting” comes from is when people “attack” the other ships and people get offended and want to correct the person “attacking” the ship. (I am totally guilty in participating in this “fighting” so definitely not innocent here) Sometimes however simply explaining why you think a ship is better can be misconstrued as “attacking” the other ship.That is what tagging, filtering, and blocking are for.

Fandom is full of extremely passionate people and all those people have varying opinions along with a firm desire to be “right”. So even though to me Ben is the better option in the love triangle, to others he isn’t and we will just never agree on that.

I can’t say I was “rooting for” Devi’s other relationships to work out but I did enjoy watching them. Paxton was a cute boyfriend and Des was sweet and made Devi very happy. They were both very enjoyable to watch.

At the end of the day you are right, this is fun show and it’s meant to be enjoyed. It would be nice if we could all get along and agree with each other but that probably won’t happen. Even though this blog will always be a place where I will express my opinion, I am no longer interested in trying to get other people to change theirs.

My favorite episode is actually a tie! As for my comfort episode, I like “Skiddley Whiffers” because of its chill vibes (Candace and the kids are having fun playing the game while Doof, Perry, and Vanessa are basically on an impromptu family camping trip)!

It is once again our fearless leaders birthday!!! Only one of the Ari fan-club’s co-presidents could make it to the celebration today, but my spidey senses can tell that pie is celebrating hard as shit rn. She’s having her own independent little party.

SO as the co-president who could make it to the celebration of our nations greatest holiday, I would like to say HAPPY BIG OLE BIRTHDAY TO @sapphic-squid !!!! Ari I love you so much. When I say you’re amazing, that’s nothing short of the truth. I LOVE playing solitaire with you and acting like old women in the retirement home (which we need to get back into our solitaire game). And talking to you about music is always a blast. I remember asking if you could make me a playlist of your fav paramore songs a while back ago and I STILL listen to it all the time. I wish nothing but the best for you. You deserve the greatest friends and memories to ever exist. Your happiness is #1!!! Always!!!
