I scream at the top of my lungs for air but you, you won't get off my chest. My pleads for help are muted with that hand of yours pressed hard against my lips. Because of you, I've taken so many pills to make me 'normal' but all they do is make me sick and suicidal. Because of you, I can never enjoy myself and go out with friends without needing to pop the cap of a prescription bottle and swallowing all the contents. "I'm fine," spills from my lips more than anything I ever thought I'd say. Every night I cry myself to sleep because I can't get over everything you've taken away from me and all the freedom I had before now replaced with shear fear. I'm losing this battle faster and quicker than before. You're terrible and your memory has haunted me since the day you came into my life.
