melodrama by lorde - WELL YES!!!!!!!!! i genuinely don't know the person i would be if this album didn't exist and to say i needed it when it came out is an UNDERSTATEMENT! not to drop lore on my if blog of all places but this album is what finally made me come to my senses and dump my bf because i didn't need all that fucking stress and FOR WHAT!!!!! and i feel like this album taught me that i can be in love with what's around me and that i don't need a relationship to feel fulfilled 🫶 NOT EVEN MENTIONING THE MUSIC ...... this shit is in different AREAS and literally nothing will ever come close to how i feel when i press play on any of these songs
when the pawn by fiona apple - THEY SIMPLY DON'T MAKE ANYTHING LIKE THIS ANYMORE!!!!!! god to be even a QUARTER of the lyricist that fiona is like SHE'S INSANE and this album is proof! and she's the blueprint for arabella in infamous i mean the band is literally called dead apple LMFAOSKJSBDNSKSK because i so desperately wanted a fiona apple singer songwriter vibe but with a punk rock twist and i think it works... it works in my head anyway and that's all that matters 🫶 anyway this album is SOOOOO AMAZING like everytime i listen i'm just taken aback the production the lyrics the VOCALS like there's nothing else like it
manic by halsey - the one thing that u need to know about me if nothing else is that i am a halsey SHOOTER she's everything to me that's my #mother until the end of time and i've known it since i was 14 and listened to badlands like my life DEPENDED ON IT ..... and this album just means the world to me 🥺💖 i love every halsey album but manic just speaks to me so much so that any halsey show i've gone to if she plays anything off manic i get teary eyed LMFAO it's just such a dive into who she is and her experiences and all the different production styles idgaf if it's not cohesive IT MAKES SENSE TO ME!!!!!!! and also this album came out january 2020 so i had this on loop during the pandemic so it also has that going for it LMAO fuck covid for cancelling the tour for this album it would've been everything 💔💔💔
transatlanticism by death cab for cutie - this album when you're in the 7th grade..... it just changes you idk LMFAOJSJSBSNSKSK but no i would literally listen to this album everyday before school while i was waiting to be let in (they made us wait outside until the bell rung... yeah idk KSJSBDBDKSK) and it was me, death cab, my ipod, and my wired headphones against the world 🫶 with this album again i genuinely don't know who i'd be without it it's just so good and the way the tracks fade in to one another... the production and the lyrics are amazing i'm so glad this album exists 💗 i literally have a tattoo because of this album and yes when i did hear that song live i cried my eyes out! 😭 not to get depressing LMFAO but this album just takes me back to when all i had to keep me going was music and i'm so happy that past me had that and that i continue to have it 💗
the record by boygenius - the way every single song is a hit NEEDS to be studied like they were smoking crack in the studio cooking this up and i'm glad! i recently relistened to it all the way through and was instantly reminded of how fucking good it is and i love when 3 queens come together and maximize on their joint slay 🫶 and everyone is so crucial to every song like it just feels like an album that had to be made! and i'm so grateful for it 💗 and hearing all of these songs live healed me!
