I had a lot of fun delving into a new fandom for the Fandom 5k Exchange. I did a lot of canon review - despite making a canon divergent fic - in an effort to ground the fic better in the ASOIAF setting. 

I also got a supremely love review from my recipient, so I was very glad it was enjoyed.

Space Swap Author Reveals

Here are the works that I submitted to the Space Swap Exchange. I had a great deal of fun writing both pieces, and I was very glad that my recipient enjoyed them.

Sometimes, it's hard to get away from who you used to be. That's how it was for Rylen Starbane. The woman she was, well, that wasn't the woman she wanted to be now. The problem was that who she used to be was still a very wanted figure in the Merrick Retainium, and it didn't matter how many times she changed her name, that was always going to haunt her. She just had no idea how very badly that could go for her.

Original 5k Author Reveal

Today is Author Reveal day for Original 5k.

This was a really fun exchange that focused on original fiction, and there are a ton of really awesome stories out there if you’re interested in the full collection.

I matched on a solo character study (although there are definitely hints of a romance in the story) of a Chosen One who doesn’t believe they’re the chosen one despite their study. I had a lot of fun exploring the Chosen One in this story, and creating the world around her.

Ever since Zara learned of the prophecy, it has consumed her life, devoting countless hours of study to it. What will happen when she discovers the truth behind those ominous words?

I just managed to finish my Spec Req fic at 6k words, and before the next exchange that I signed up for starts.

I’m going to let that sit for at least the rest of the day before I start looking to get a beta reader on that.

A teaser for chapter 1 of my Zombie CD/AU

Frantic stomping in the sand could be heard as someone ran through the dunes of La Tierra Mala.

“Toth?,” A girl shouted, worry in her voice. Only the slight howling of the wind answered back.

“Toth?!,” Her voice now filled with panic, “Toth, please! This ain’t funny no more!” She crumpled in on herself, hugging her knees close as she huddled behind a sand dune. Faint groaning could be heard in the distance.

“Great job Skout, first your horse gets spooked by some crazy man then you lose Toth-” Skout froze as she heard footsteps approach her from behind. When she looked behind her, her face met a mangled man in tattered clothes.
