hi i've reached the point of drawing aus of the story i haven't actually finished :) here's my ocs after a shrink ray mishap

I counted this morning that I'm already up to 58,000 words in my novel, which is the most I've ever written to a single creative project, and that count doesn't include the lore, outlines, character references and guidelines, or the artwork/charts/maps I've drawn. and I'm almost to the false climax!

I've still got so much more story to chug through, but ive pretty much exclusively thought about the beginning up to the false climax since that's all that was contained in my original dream, so I have no idea how much the falling action and real conclusion will actually contain.

after I finish writing everything, I want to add more filler/flesh out some scenes from the beginning to better develop Sara's character (that's part of why I'm someone who always finishes a work before I publish it online; I always go back and redo the beginning once I have an understanding of where I end, so I can more elegantly tie into it)

then I get to begin my third draft!!!!!!

my first draft was probably only about 4 to 6 thousand words (maybe it was 12 thousand, I don't remember) with zero designated chapter breaks, so it's really awesome to see how far Ive come from there. I did a midpoint read-through & minor edit recently and I love when I write a story that's so satisfying and so specifically hits my own personal loves/desires/niches. I'm so lucky I enjoy rereading my own writing, because I happen to know exactly what I like lol. I hope I get seen when I some day get to the publishing stage, I want other people to experience this too.

it's literally not useful, she never actually does anything with it, I should just cut it from the story--

an angel descends down before me, placing its tiny little hand on the edge of my phone

"isn't it actually funny as fuck that she keeps bragging to the audience about how awesome it is and how much money it could make her, and then proceeds to never fucking use it?"

yeah... that is pretty funny...

thinks about all the worldbuilding and different alien species and etc i could add to my story but the scope of the story is intentionally limited because of the narrator and thinks about all of the world building that is in my story but shouldn't be because i like it but my narrator literally wouldn't care about it

there is something so satisfying about a character who is always on edge in need for control literally micromanages every aspect of their life their day planned to the minute a week in advance. and then they get dominated in sex. especially if they're being forced to sit back and take it/bound and immobilized.

amusing excerpts from my book Isolation

"What do you do all night?” he asks, holding the door for her.

Bounty hunting.  Searching the woods for the rest of my people.  Fantasizing about the inevitable end of the Empire. Jerking it. Plotting escape plans to get the rest of the humans on this planet off and somewhere safe.  Jerking it.  Laying awake in bed fighting the crippling dysphoria that wraps around my soul and keeps me from feeling like one of my own.  Jerking it again.

“Odd jobs for extra cash," she finally says, though she gives the “jerking it" answer a serious consideration.

“What odd jobs are there even to do around here?" he asks suddenly. “You are fucking testing me to not say jerking it,” she thinks to officially run the joke into the ground.

looking at my main character girlbossing all over the plot

i have GOT to make her more pathetic

(ignore that she is more or less running herself into the ground and is so exhausted from overwork and malnurishment that she's barely moving

sketches + closeups of my oc throuple.

first is ryoko helping sara discover her fashion style, since sara's only ever worn military grade space bodysuits in her fucking life (and one (1) dress)

then it's all three in each other's styles. sara absolutely would wear punk clothes because her entire personality is rebellion, and the style would speak to her. ryoko loves showing skin and layering. li doesn't have a style; he calls it "comfort-core" and the other two call it "depression core" lol.

neither sara nor li are comfortable in ryoko's outfits lol. ryoko is somewhat comfortable in sara's, and li is fairly comfortable in sara's. sara is comfortable in li's bigass hoodie, but ryoko hates feeling closeted by it.
