okay I'm gonna have feelings for a minute.

I got to see an artist tonight who I've been listening to since I was a sophomore in high school and is one of the few who I've listened to consistently since then. Her music was always my go-to for when I would be flipping through my iPod but nothing sounded right or good enough. I could put on one of her albums and my mood would improve immediately, helping me be able to not feel so restless. No other artist has ever really been able to do that for me. Her words, voice, and soul have been there for me when everything around me was bleak; a bright spot of sunshine in my otherwise dreary world.

....This all sounds so hollow and not really doing justice to how grateful I am to her for exisiting and sharing her talent with everyone. I doubt she'll ever see this because I'm one of tens of thousands who feel the same way about her but I want to say thank you, Sara Bareilles. You've done more for me than you'll ever know and I hope I get to see you in concert at least a thousand more times.

I mean, some singers when performing live absolutely suck. Some are good, Some are amazing.

She was mind-blowing. She has incredible range and control over her voice so when she belts out one of her choruses the strength and clarity of it is astounding. She is so supportive of her opening act. She plays with the audience and cracks jokes but also gives little glimpses into her real life, making you see that she's not perfect and you can't help but love her more for it.

It was hands down the best concert I have ever been to in my life (so far).
