6. What kind of people are you attracted to?

Physically, I’m attracted to girls who look like they could beat me up, boys who look like I could beat them up, and people (of any gender, or none) who look androgynous or gender-fuckery, regardless of their placement on the beating-people-up scale. Also, FRECKLES.

I mean I’ll look at Idris Elba or Natalie Dormer and go, “Wow, okay, that’s hot,” but there’s not that strong, visceral reaction of attraction.

Emotionally? *makes indistinct noise and vague hand gestures before awkwardly sidling away*

12. What are your 5 favorite songs right now?

Warriors (Imagine Dragons), The Mighty Fall (Fall Out Boy), Papaoutai (Stromae), Shut Up and Dance (Walk the Moon), and Bethlehem Steel (Delta Rae).

19. Do you like bubble baths?

I haven’t had one in a decade since I get UTIs so easily; in fact I almost never bathe at all. When I do, I’d rather have bath salts.

24. Favorite part of your daily routine?

Showering. I pretty much have to get into the shower as soon as I wake up, otherwise I can’t function. My eyes literally don’t open properly and my facial muscles don’t move a lot until I’ve at least gotten my face wet, and if I don’t shower then my skin and scalp feel wrong all day.

37. What do you say during awkward silences?

Nothing. I’m bad at telling when a silence is awkward; because I like sitting in silence, I sometimes don’t perceive any awkwardness and just continue chilling without a word. When I do perceive the awkwardness, it’s awful and paralyzing and I have a difficult time thinking, let along talking.

44. Trip to outer space or bottom of the ocean?

I’m shivering with horror trying to contemplate either one. The potential for death is too high for me to enjoy either one– particularly death by suffocation in a place where the nearest breath is literally miles away. If by some magic there was no risk of dying, I would pick the bottom of the ocean, because fascinating undiscovered life forms.

65. Are you hungry right now?

Nope! For supper I had brown rice, peas and corn, and spicy chicken fingers with mustard dip, and I ate a lot. Then I had some gummy worms, which I sort of regret. I was eating out of boredom.

101. Do you type fast?

Pretty quickly, yeah! When I’ve got the right words in my head, I can put them down fast. I find it almost impossible to write (fiction, at least) by hand because it’s too slow a method of transferring thought to word.

117. Do you like chicken noodle soup?

Definitely. I grew up on the Lipton boxed stuff, so that’s still what “good chicken noodle soup” tastes like to me.

150. Get the closest book next to you; open it to page 42. What’s the first line on that page?

It’s from Fires in the Bathroom: Advice for Teachers from High School Students, by Kathleen Cushman and the students of What Kids Can Do, Inc. It’s a fascinating and useful book about student-teacher relationships and classroom culture. I really recommend it for any teacher.

I was tagged by inlieus First of all I'm kind of a Tumblr noob (seriously it's terrible) plus I'm on mobile so I'm not sure if I'm doing this quite right. 1. Favourite colour and why? So get this... One of my best friends sarahshumanski has a super cool blog. She has been my friend since grade 7 or maybe even longer. She is such an amazing, strong, and understanding friend.
