Rent the Runway has been heralded as one of the prominent unicorns of the startup era. And many admit having gone from skeptic to beloved user. Recently, they expanded to include not just traditional luxury attire but also “every day” wear and offering users the convenience of dropping off items at their local WeWork. It begs the question(s): where do they go from here? Will designers begin to create exclusively for the brand and does that lead to competition with Amazon? Will WeWorks offer more functionality for users? Time will tell.
