THE LONG DAY: 23rd October, 2021
I went to Delhi for a holiday, away from books (which was not easy but necessary, as my mother puts it, “You need to mingle with real people”). So I took the train on 23rd October with my friend who came to Jaipur for her M.Phil. entrance. After reaching the station, we parted our ways at Yamuna Bank metro station, where I met my college friend, Shalini. Three years, I met her after three long years. But trust me, apart from the time, nothing changed. We went to my cousin’s place to put my suitcase, then decided to have lunch at Taco Bell. Next, I had to go to Akshita’s place for Kik’s birthday party. I took a metro to her society (too confusing with so many new routes). After reaching there, I felt relaxed but for a short period because we had to get ready for the party. We went to the venue, met her friends, and drank weird drinks. It was fun, but I was tired to the brink. We came back home at around 2, gossiped a little about mutuals. Honestly, it was a tiring day, starting at 4 am and ending at around 3 am. I was up and around for 23 hours.
