First of all, I love the headcanons, they are so in character for them.

Second of all, do you ever think Jack or Nurm got into a situation when adventuring that caused them to need knowledge of "medicine"(Technically they don't really have medicine besides enchanted golden apples and potions, but whatever I like to think of it being more realistic sometimes) Like maybe having to bandage the other, or having to deal with the other getting a broken bone with any healing potions on them?

Oooh this is an interesting idea!! They definitely would've had many happenings during their adventures where they'd need to heal their injuries, but not have any potions available as a quick and easy remedy. I'd imagine that they were particularly reliant on potions as a healing resource (which Vos would've been able to aptly provide) during adventures, and didn't break out of the habit even after their main potion master.. well.. yeah. Combined with their increasing wariness and anxiety around adventuring, I figure that they maybe would've started exhausting potions more quickly and impulsively during very tense encounters, quickly dwindling their supply and thus leaving them to fall back on traditional medicine.

Thankfully Jack still remembered his training at Sidekick Academy (still hearing his younger self whining about boring first aid assignments and how he was going to be an adventurer, not a healer) and Nurm remembered enough about Villager medicine practices (to which his past self would've groaned about needing to actually use for once). I can definitely see Jack needing Nurm to apply a makeshift splint and bandage him up after getting just a little too careless during a thunderstorm "[I told you to watch out for the skeleton horses!!]", or Nurm getting Jack to patch up some pretty bad wounds on the go.

They both take care of each other in their own ways, of course, and are incredibly patient whilst looking after one another. Nurm is an absolutely lovely and sweet caretaker, he often asks Jack to tell him if he's pressing down too hard while tending to his wounds. Jack tells him his pain tolerance is high enough and to just go ahead (the man still winces ever so slightly though). Jack meanwhile likes to tell stories and jokes to Nurm while fixing him up to lighten the mood, Nurm listening and taking his mind off of the pain. Although sometimes they have to break when Nurm laughs too hard or reaches out to pinch him for talking too much (or both).

I had an idea and thought I should share with the class

What if spawn eggs weren't just from the Eversource?

Mobs like chickens and parrots lay eggs (both in game and real life obviously) Spiders also lay eggs, and the Sniffers? They're mammals, but they lay eggs too.

So what if Villagers also did?

Chickens can be bred and have a baby. But they lay eggs anyway.

Imagine if Villagers laid eggs, but they don't know how to hatch them. They're rare, so they don't want to just throw them and hope they hatch a baby villager.

I like to imagine a situation where Nurm magically lays an egg, and like a proud parent, constantly shoves it in Jack's face. Jack just nods and is like "yeah, you did that."

HELP ME I THOUGHT OF SOMETHING SIMILAR

Nurm just laying an egg one day. Going up to Jack "Hey I laid an egg" and Jack is bewildered because Nurm forgot to tell him villagers can just Do That

"You didn't tell me that???"

"Oh I assumed you knew"

It's also funny because the Eversource doesn't lay villager eggs (for obvious reasons). But villager eggs exist in base mc. Aaand baby villagers have to come from somewhere...

Then they'd have to take care of the egg to make sure it hatches right. Nurm just grabbing a ton of blankets to make a "nest" and then sitting there cradling the egg all day and refusing to get up. Imagine Jack trying to explain to the others why Nurm can't come to their outings or meetings

"Sorry he can't come he laid an egg"

"WHAT"

Anyways the egg would hatch perfectly and they'd have a lovely baby villager child <3

What are some cliches or prompts you wish more people would write Jack/Nurm as? (Ex. Cowboy AU, Wrong Place-Right Time, etc)

Ohh there are SO many tropes and prompts I see pop up that I'd love for people to explore with those two. I actually have so many ideas in my head too, you have no clue :,>D

Even just the simplest idea or prompt even! I love seeing all the little AUs and doodles/drabbles of them that appear every now and then

One that's honestly very simple in concept but really fun to explore is a Swap AU. I actually have drawn/conceptualised a minor thing of it (I promise I'll post my doodles and drawings eventually, my ocd is kicking my ass atm) but it's very fun to play around with their roles and figure out how their dynamics change with it. Plus, we get cocky adventurer Nurm and desperately-trying-to-keep-his-husband-out-of-trouble Jack [;>)

I also really like Resurrection and Ghost AU because. I mean it's just perfect for their context is it not? Imagine all the mess they'd get into :,,>) hell even an AU where their fates get swapped. sighh. There's so many different directions you can go when it comes to them dealing with mortality and death.. they're certainly used to it by now after all [;>D

Another one I like to imagine is of them just being outlaws together.. they're wanted dead or alive and partners in crime forever <3 They deserve to be gay and do crime your honour. Nevermind all the chaos, destruction and death they leave in their wake 《;>]

You also can't forget the Horror AUs. Corruption and Infection AUs are pretty commonplace now and very fun to develop. Right now I really like imagining Possession and Zombie AUs for them.. especially regarding Nurm, for obvious reasons. I have so many assorted little ideas and doodles of him just becoming a fucked up little zombie-infected-creature thing 《:>}

And possession is incredibly fun to play around with, same with mind control. The Champion fight scene honestly has so much potential for that alongside many other scenes.. also the premise of another AU of mine, of course. They sure are going through it

And of course you have all your classic AU prompts, such as Royal AU, Magic AU and Modern AU, and god forbid the Coffee Shop AU.. all simple prompts yet always fun to brainstorm about with your faves :>]

I'm also just a sucker for classic evil/villain AUs. Come on, they deserve to be a little evil as a treat [;>D (I also have an AU that is just straight up this. but that ones a little bit out there and I'll have to elaborate on it some other time)
