Been thinkin WAY too much about "Too Little, Too Late" with Jack and Vos parallels FUCK
Oooh, went and searched this one up cause I haven't listened to it myself (I'm presuming you mean the Laufey song? Correct me if I'm wrong though, I'm not too familiar with currently rending songs myself lol) and. Yeah oh my god it's Them.
Jack reflecting on the lost relationship he had with Vos he knows he'll never be able to regain or relive, and vice versa with Vos (his spirit? maybe some part of him stuck around when they revisited the temple. who knows) watching Jack move further on in life and leave what they had behind to settle down.
The whole town is talking about how you've fallen in love
Jack settles down in Beacontown with Nurm after all his adventures, he also seems to be recognised enough for Petra to know his name. Also works with he fact that Jack and Nurm met in Pur'gan-Gah, and quite possibly married/had some sort of ceremony there.
I lay down my sword for fate, it's too little too late
Jack chooses to lay his sword down and accept Sammy and Vos's fate, knowing that adventuring is too dangerous to continue and that it's too late now that they're gone.
Guess that we're soulmates in different timelines/What if you leave him, throw me a lifeline
Definitely reminiscent of the obvious choice based nature of mcsm, but also reminds me of the big choice in (season two) episode one, the very first episode where we meet those two. You either choose to help out Jack (throw him a lifeline), or leave him to defend Vos (again, lifeline) and Nurm by himself and lose his eye. They also fall in the water afterwards to add to the imagery. More reminiscing on what their relationship could've been had things turned out different.

Again, Vos quite literally did lose his fight with fate, forced to stay trapped within the temple until he died. And Jack ended up not only losing his friends to the Admin's so called hand of fate, but was taken by him personally to either become his prisoner or his "Champion", suffering even further. Jack's constantly being caught between leaving or staying. He leaves his adventuring days behind to stay in Beacontown, after having his friends taken from him, only to be torn from that safety net by Romeo (who chastises him as Vos for "leaving" his glory days behind). He thinks he's been reunited with Vos once more only for that to completely fall out right from under him when Vos reveals himself to be Romeo, leaving him once again and trapping him in the Sunshine Institute/Terminal Space

This one's a bit more on the nose again, I don't have much to say except to quote that last chorus from Jack's Lament:
the mineimator models drive me insane. specifically nurm's (but the others too) because there is SO MUCH wrong with it.
the arm textures are flipped(?)and the gold parts end up on the wrong side of the arm
the leg parts also don't include the outer parts of his coat (for some reason in game they're separate parts of his model) and end up being disproportionately small compared to his body
second image is me lazily adjusting his texture to at least make it closer to the game. been trying to edit his model/texture in modelbench but the way they scaled his .mimodel parts also drives me insane. I must save you nurm
also the mineimator pack featuring the s2 models is just really Meh. lot of character parts missing, generally inaccurate models. definitely the result of the program's limitations but. man I don't have the energy to learn blender (which does in fact have accurate models)
I don't know what happened when porting the models over but man did they mess up. I don't think anyone other than me cares about this but.yeah

my friend has jack and nurm on his Tomodachi Life and he got this lil cutscene for them where nurm snuck up behind jack and grabbed him like "caught you" and jack replied "you caught my heart some time ago" and i kicked my feet and giggled in a manly and heterosexual way...gay ass motherfuckers....

YESSS!!!! I literally can't imagine him as anything other than a big chubby muscly guy.his big weirdly muscular arms and soft chubby pillow stomach. perfect for hugging and being hugged
When they fully settled down in Beacontown and stopped adventuring full-time Jack definitely got a lot more pudgy and lost some of his muscle, which he probably complained about occasionally, stressing (yet again) about how he wasn't the same adventurer anymore and was losing his touch. Nurm would absolutely remind him that he didn't need to be a legendary adventurer any longer, that it's good to soften up (literally) and take things slow now, and that he liked the extra weight on him, of course.
So Jack gets to grow (literally) and move past the idea of reliving his glory days.and of course Nurm makes sure to feed him lots of good food whenever Jack forgets to eat or starts stressing out about his weight. you Will Not be losing your dad bod, mister, nuh uh [:>) nurm uses him as a pillow even more now

i keep having this little scenario in my head so now it's time to spew it out onto you.
One night, Nurm is just utterly exhausted after working in the shop for hours. Jack notices and decides to pamper him for the rest of the night. His favorite dinner, bubblebath, warm pajamas. They just sit by the fireplace while Jack presses kisses everywhere on him, reminding him of how much he loves him <3 (the night ends with them cuddled up in bed, sweaty and even more exhausted as you can imagine ;) )
Yesyesyess!!! I had this exact thought too!! even wrote it down little bit (good god the amount of things I make then never post) This is exactly how it'd go [[;>D
Nurm just overworking himself again and not realising how how them has passed, Jack setting him aside to finish off for the night and surprising him with everything already set out for him (especially since usually it's Nurm who does that—but Jack's dedicated and god forbid he will make sure Nurm gets to be pampered)!! Then they cuddle by the fireplace and Jack reminds Nurm how much he loves him and then they head to bed and don't sleep until several hours later [;>))
Continuation to my last ask, I wonder if Nurm has ever had to drag Jack like that before. Maybe once, Jack spotted something valuable and tried to go after it on a very impulsive(and dangerous) thought, and Nurm had to drag him kicking and screaming away from it.

Oh yeah no definitely, Jack's been dragged many many times by Nurm like that before, especially during their earlier adventures with Vos and Sammy (although Nurm had to exert more force back then, physically and figuratively. Jack's a stubborn *and* heavy guy). Classic Jack (and Sammy likely) trying to go for (probably steal) the shiny shiny treasure in the midst of a death trap
Nurm and Vos were most definitely the ones getting those two out of situations (although Vos was more of a peacekeeper. Nurm had an even shorter temper back then). Nowadays the stakes are much lower but on occaison Nurm may have to pull Jack out before he does (or whilst he's doing) something dumb.
(funnily enough I did write like one short paragraph of Nurm dragging a drunk Jack out of a bar once. i have so many tiny drabbles like that in my docs of them just being silly)
