Been reworking some old work I came across, taken from a project “Look I Found Hope”, in preparation for a craft fair I’m doing. It felt like a good piece to redo with all the sadness in the world and recent tragic events.  The project was inspired from finding hope around for you, you just have to look for it.

Badass Babe #2 : Kathrine Switzer.

In 1967, Kathrine Switzer was the first woman to enter and complete the Boston Marathon as a numbered entry, five years before women were officially allowed to compete in it. After realising that a woman was running, race organiser Jock Semple went after Switzer shouting, “Get the hell out of my race and give me those numbers.”
