alright, so I enjoy being on the move, duh. But how much do I love the technologie behind it, the spell it casts, the culture around it. Trainstations, airports, ports, highways, footpath, cablecars. All these millions of people focused and dedicated to move the human artifact with incredible speeds acros incredible distances with incredible accuracy.
Driving with a car across and Island to and airport, with a smal boing to zürich, transfer with a bus to a four stream airplane, circle out of valleys through massive cloud pillars, tough down, get into an ICE and speed of with 240 km/h. A journey never to be imagined by the nuraghe that build these towers over 3000 years ago.
The spells? yes. I am the kind of traveller that feels at home in all these places. When I find my seat, I take of my shoes and claw into the airplane carpt. I have done a lot of that moving for many reasons. these places are a constant in my life. Everywhere in the world, the spell of an airplane, train, airport, port and highway is the same. It’s this place you will always know, no matter what.
And happily enough I have found a second one. One that does not move. One that stays. One that is like a compas all over the world if you feel like you are loosing your way.
