All I know about the next expansion is from the two trailers so who knows maybe this will be disproven in some of the Q&A coming up but idc i have a THEORY.

The Visions that everyone is getting are ALL from the 5th Old God (revealed in Dragonflight) pretending to be the world soul and I'm going to lay out all the straws I'm grasping:

The announcement trailer definitely wants to make you think it's Azeroth waking up, but doesn't outright say it. Misdirection!

"Who is it?" "I'm not sure." If it was Azeroth, why didn't Magni pop out and tell everyone? Where's he at?

"That sword was aimed at 'someone'" Maybe Sargeras was aiming at the last Old God, not Azeroth like was implied..

Alleria's getting Void Visions at the same time everyone else starts getting sleeping world soul visions? Suspicious.

Nobody knows there is a fifth Old God (except for us player characters) so their guard will be down wrt Void whispers.

Calls Anduin by name! Why would Azeroth know or care about Anduin? The Void definitely does, and he's got a Void arc coming as laid out by SO MANY YEARS of foreshadowing. And he doesn't have the Light anymore so...

I mean, if I was an Old God that nobody knew about, I would pretend to be someone benign and lull everyone into a false sense of security. And make them do quests for me.

Void is going to be kind of a big deal for the next two expansions and its whole thing is manipulation.

The title of the third expansion is "The Last Titan" and probably(?) refers to Azeroth... I don't think she's waking up any time soon.
