Tell me more about dere culture in Sarruma!
SO, to understand Sarruma’s bizarre culture, you gotta know their history.
Long, long ago, the mountainous place that is now Sarruma was a religious stronghold, inhabited solely by Kamideres and Himederes. In 1632 AD, an invading yandere army from a nearby empire arrived. Though prideful, the original inhabitants were also smart, and knew they wouldn’t stand a chance. Their yandere conquerors established themselves as leaders and made the himederes and kamideres nobles as a reward for submitting. That done, the yanderes began importing their darlings, introducing other dere types to the country.
Overtime, the original faith the kamideres and himederes became distorted. Instead of kamideres and himederes being the most favored by the heavens, yanderes took their place, with their predecessors becoming 2nd. Kuuderes became 3rd and tsunderes 4th, as the warlike conquerors liked strong dere types.
At the bottom was danderes, derederes and underes, who were viewed as weaklings. In 1876 a splinter group of yangires tried to rebel against the yanderes, and thus they’re the outcast class today.
Sarruma now has 17 provinces
A typical Saruman tsundere lunch might be:
Boiled potatoes
Dull corn
A pity drop biscuit
The typical dinner fare of a Sarruman yandere noble vs that of their dandere darling. The caste system is strictly enforced even by the most lenient yanderes.
You know how in some rural areas irl, the roads are so narrow that people have motorbikes instead of cars? That’s how it is in remote Sarruman dandere villages
