yessssss i agree. everyone's blaming gray but im like yalll dont you realise??? this makes juvia look so bad!!! i (and im sure others) was sure we were wayyy past the stalker juvia like come on it's been 300+ chapters and SO much development, let's move on. please. juvia is past this. gruvia is past this. that's obvious already so why isn't it shown in the manga 3
EXACTLY. In ch.416 we were left with a Juvia so mature and considerate that she was about to give up on Gray for taking his father away from him. If she had really forced their co-habitation, then that would have thrown all this display of growth out of the window. It would mean that she didn’t care whether Gray wanted to go on a personal quest to defeat END on his own, and that what matters to her the most is being with him regardless of what he wants. But Juvia is not that kind of person, and portraying her as such would be a 180 change of direction in her character progression. It would be volumes worse than Gray being tsun once again, no matter how the joke has lost it’s spark, and throwing something in to stop all those false rumors.
But! I guess we can rejoice now because thanks to thefairystales kindly translating Gray’s words, it seems that Mangapanda’s translation was way off mark and what he actually said is that they simply settled in a place together and they’re not a couple. Which is as harmless as can be xD
