We know it wasn't cops because the PC plod is not armed. The Met is not armed. They have an armed wing but they're the equivalent of SWAT. Also, what's the Met supposed to do about the threats? Also, I know people who were in London for the Palestine protest on Saturday and the cops were armed to the teeth. They had guns. A lot of guns.

I’m not saying it was the cops. It could’ve been the alt r*ght for all we know. But fuck, if the police don’t protect our citizens (which they legally don’t btw, they protect the state not the people), then how can we trust them? Sarah Everard’s death should’ve been a wake up call to the entire country. Sasha Johnson wasnt protected while others historically have been.

Yes the racism in the UK is different, it’s more entrenched in the system/hidden than in the US. But that doesn’t change the fact that a black woman was most likely shot for being an outspoken and public activist. And that it’s likely the cops won’t do anything about it. Remember that kid who went missing? They told his family that if they can’t find him, the family will have to.

Also you might wanna check your facts about the cops being armed in the UK: check Northern Ireland, and how the police there are completely different to the rest of the UK.
