I have many thoughts I’d like options on. Give me your thoughts on this,
Not-Them Martin instead of Sasha? There’s a sort of poetic sadness to Tim being taken by the Not-Them, just like with Sasha. But what about Martin?
There’s so many layers to it. Like, would this just be so the end game isn’t jmart? In my case, not necessarily. It’s more a real ‘what if?’
Though, yeah, the story I want to write is jongerry. But that wasn’t what brought the thought to mind. It popped in when I wanted to keep Sasha but wanted there to still be loss.
Like we joke that people would know it wasn’t Martin because of his tea. It wouldn’t be that classic Martin perfection. But the Not-Them can change memories. Maybe that’s how it always tasted?
With his easy connection to the lonely I wonder ‘would anyone even notice?’ There’s a sadness to martins character at times where he might even see himself as forgettable. But what if they did, forget him. There’s layers to it and I can’t get it out of my head.
I’d love folks thoughts on it.
