Jacob believes in God in the traditional Christian way, yes. But he also believes that God has abandoned him so he doesn’t give a shit about God (or so he pretends). He’s firmly convinced he’ll go to hell. He avoids churches because they make him feel uncomfortable and remind him of his sins. He seeks repentance and penance in sex with older men who dominate and hurt him.

Sasha has not really made up his mind yet. He was raised a Christian, but he’s not fully convinced God exists. He keeps an open mind, but usually has other problems to debate religion. He does, however, visit Catholic churches a lot when he’s ot on the streets and on the peak of his addictions. He likes the Stabat Mater statues, the weeping Mary statues. They make him feel like he’s not alone in his suffering.

Milton was raised a Christian, too. He’s had a few debates with Mason about religion, actually. (quote: “God is dead because he never existed. He was created by weak souls, staring into an abyss of meaninglessness. He was created to explain what simple minds couldn’t explain. We live in a world that defies God in any way.” )  Milton believes in the theory that mankind invented God to make life bearable. That humans have weak minds and seek guidance and comfort in a creature bigger than them. Believing in a God makes them feel better about life, it sets a system of value that would otherwise not be there. The only way to make people behave good is to make them fear punishment and hope for an afterlife. Milton is rather pragmatic in this regard. He believes the invention of God was a necessity to build a society, to establish morals,to make people function in the omnipresence of death and suffering. Their minds are too weak to live on without foolish hopes. 

Tyler believes in science, not in God. He believes in the things he can see, touch, theorize and explain. Bb was an aspiring scientist once upon a time, after all.

Is Sasha bisexual?

Poor bb didn’t have any chance to figure his sexuality out. He’s curious about boobs and girls, but being compelled by sex in general and mostly by himself, being as awkward and socially clumsy as he can be at times, he never made a move towards a girl. And of course, that’ll never happen once he’s out on the streets. He’s busy hating his life and sex to really consider questions about his sexual or romantic orientation.
