This beautiful dress was first seen on Saskia Wickham as Clarissa Harlowe in the 1991 Mini-series Clarissa, though since that production contained so many reused costumes, there is a very real possibility that this gown dates to an earlier film or television show.

In 2013 the costume was used again on Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Dido Elizabeth Belle in the film Belle. Most recently the piece was spotted on Hannah Dodd as Sophia Fitzwilliam in the 2018 second season of Harlots.

This Georgian gown was seen many years ago in the 1991 mini-series adaptation of the Samuel Richardson novel, Clarissa, where it was worn on Saskia Wickham as Clarissa Harlowe.  The costume was worn again on Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Dido Elizabeth Belle in the 2013 Belle, though it is worn without a fichu, and a bow has been added to the front.
